The CARES Act allows freelancers — yes, freelancers! — and all other affected workers to collect unemployment benefits, plus there’s now a $600/week supplement through July 31st. If you’ve experienced job loss or reduced income, start the application process as soon as you’re able. The wait times are long, and it can take a few weeks to receive your benefits.
